Mark studied at Cambridge University and the University of Westminster. He gained professional experience at Scott Brownrigg & Turner, Fitch & Co and ORMS prior to setting up Panter Hudspith Architects in 1988. Mark is responsible for practice management within the office.

Mark has considerable experience of cinema, restaurant, education and commercial projects and of working with existing buildings of all ages. These uses come together to form true mixed-use developments such as the Visitor Centre at Oxford Castle, which has received six awards including MIPIM, RIBA and the Civic Trust. Mark was also responsible for the White Rose and Civic Trust Award winning Sure Start Nursery in Sheffield.

Mark’s recent project involvement includes a new library, catering and conference spaces for The King’s Fund in their Grade II* listed headquarters in central London, and a 25,000sqm mixed-use development, comprising offices, retail and hotel within the historic centre of Tunbridge Wells. He is currently restoring the 11th Century Cellarium and Misericorde within Westminster Abbey to create a new restaurant and café.
