Panter Hudspith Architects promote dialogue and careful interaction between clients, consultants and contractors and actively include both local and national authorities in all stages of the design and construction process. This search for inclusion creates an architecture that allows people to make places.
The practice was started in 1987 by Simon Hudspith and Mark Panter with an aim to confront design problems in an innovative way, and to date have received awards from the RIBA and Civic Trust, and recognition from both English Heritage and CABE. We work as a team of architects, designers and organisers who are dedicated to creating buildings of the highest quality.
Our list of completed and current projects includes residential, retail, buildings for schools, commercial developments, restaurants, cinemas and museums. We recently completed the new City and County Museum (The Collection) near the Cathedral in Lincoln and a new Civic Theatre on Millennium Square in Leeds, and are presently designing mixed-use residential developments in the centres of London and Cambridge. Project budgets range from £650k to £23 million, and the estimated value of current work within the office is £102 million.
