34-36 Broad Street, Portsmouth

34-36 Broad Street, Portsmouth

This residential project to be built on a heritage site in Old Porstmouth was granted planning permission after consultations with the local residents and English Heritage.

The project, situated on the waterfront of the Camber Harbour to the north and Broad Street to the South, will include 5 four storey town houses and a landscaped courtyard with a three storey block of 8 flats as well as 2 maisonettes with integral parking spaces. The design was informed by the existing character of Broad Street and responds to its nautical setting. The facades have been designed with glazed projecting and receding elements to open up multiple views of the harbour, sea and town from each residence.

Budget: £2.6 million
Planning gained: 2001
