The house is situated at the end of a terrace that abuts the North
Dulwhich railway viaduct. The original house, built in 1912 was
extended in 1972. The new addition reorientates the main family
living spaces to the rear of the house to make the most of the garden,
increasing light, views and access via a simple decking platform
sheltered to provide an all year round outdoor "room".
The kitchen was positioned in the centre of the extension to give
direct views of the garden and playing fields beyond.
