Bradwell's Court, Cambridge

Panter Hudspith have designed a number of new buildings and proposed refurbishment to existing buildings at the southern end of the Princesshay development site.

These buildings address a number of existing streets: Chapel Street adjoins Cathedral Close with a number of quality Medieval listed buildings. Bedford street is reinvented as a shopping street with the new Bedford Square at its heart and Princesshay has realigned the Cathedral views. Post Office Street has been transformed into a pedestrian mews adjacent to the city wall and flanked by Broadwalk Gardens. The scheme is a mix of retail and residential with a major new department store addressing the new Bedford Square.

Budget: £22 million
Completion date: 2007
